I haven't actually played around with my card when it comes to overclocking. That is a proud 100Watt less than the delivery condition! My 3090 performs better than stock now. I started mining few days ago and i'm looking for ways to maximaze performance/safe/profit ratios. But okay, this is totally new for me. williamcll A reduction of 1.064v to 0.89v would be about (1.0 - 0.163) 2 or ~30% reduction. From what Ive read you can set the voltage around 800 900 mV for the RTC 3080 and 750 800 mV for the RTX 3090. Okay, it seems you have a higher tolerance for fan noise than me (yeah, I know, that is very subjective, depends on personal preferences, case, case location, etc). Your chip is crazy stable. Is intel preparing its own Video Super Resolution (VSR) variant for Chrome browser? It seems your FTW3 holds a higher clockspeed out of the box and with less power usage than my ROG STRIX Funnily enough my super fast tests when I got my card back in November concluded that heavily undervolted ran it a few fps lower but shaved off 100w in draw. What I saw betterundervolt results had the guys from end 2020 and batches from March and later were cards with lower silicon quality in most cases, just luck I know. I had a 3080 TUF that, according to my old notes, was stable at 1800MHz and 837mV. I sim race on f1 2022 - max settin- rt reflections on cars medium - avr. It is called undervolting. Does MSI gaming trio has better memory cooling? Just a note, my card is mounted vertical/aircooled so probably not efficient as it should be. You already know the first article, but of course you can read it again here: GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Undervolting When Reason and Experimentation Meet NVIDIA Ampere. I shouldn't have opened its box. The reason my card does better undervolted than stock (I get 12700 or so stock I think) is that lower voltage means less power meaning it can do more with the 400W it is allowed to play with. First time I. The watts will still go up to 350. Games crashes after a couple of minutes. Bios is setting curve and power limits. Due to the demand I have pressed the whole thing once again in tables, so that you have summarized everything clearly at a glance. Latest driver as for all settings. I also noticed that by default the card sets the target temperature internally to be 70C despite a temperature threshold being set in MSI Afterburner. Bjrn Endre
GPU core temp sitting at around 80C, memory 90C, hotspot 100C. From what I've read you can set the voltage around 800 - 900 mV for the RTC 3080 and 750 - 800 mV for the RTX 3090. if yes, what stable frequency are you getting for that voltage? Under the test, with my previous undervolt setting, that used 100% (stock) on the powerslider, my GPU clock dropped from the 1815MHz to 1750-ish MHz, because maximum power was hit (the 100%). I am able to run this at 1920 MHz Clock, +250MHz Mem (Haven't tried to max this out yet), but at 430W power draw, and 70 C. When I run those same settings on Heaven, I hit 380W, 62 C. Will report back after I game a bit more and test with Time Spy Stress Test for framerate stability. then you have the most insane god-tier golden sample silicon chip I have ever seen. Neo Forza Faye DDR4-4600MHz 32GB (2x16GB). You must log in or register to reply here. Card ate 480w in an instant lol. Does any data on this page looks incorrect and you would like for us to check it? The RTX 3090 Ti hashrate is 135 MH/s on the Dagger Hashimoto-based miner. We of course do not want this so now it is time to create a better curve that will allow the card to clock down but still not go over the set voltage. I don't know the exact dB though since I have no way of measuring it. the strix bios can only work fine on the cards have 3xpin power. Edit: temp is 60c. Lock the voltage and frequency with the key : L. Then switch to the regular Afterburner-window and click APPLY. Alright so the reason why 1 HDMI port won't work is because the Kingpin card doesn't have this HDMI port? williamcll Next it is time to start up MSI Afterburner. This is something that has been done to both CPUs and GPUs for many years. 110 MH/s and below 290W. In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. Currently my specs are: [122-123mhz] +1375 Mem, +0 core, 90% PL, Auto fan speed usually hovers 90%. Hard pressed to hit 60c and 270w draw. Mine is a tad lower but I left the GPU fans on auto, with the latest Resizable BAR BIOS, and I also have an air-cooled 5950X on stock. You must log in or register to reply here. Open voltage/frequency curve (Ctrl+F) then note the maximum frequency at the right of the curve. The Neo Forza brand is a relatively new player in the DRAM memory modules and flash memory products that established in 2018. And Time spy score is 19450 vs stock 19900 . I didn't think this was possible. That can't be real. Going back all the way to the 780, I remember finding the highest stable core and the highest stable memory and the highest fps i got was by backing down each maybe a third of they way back to "in da box' settings. I saw many people to change rtx 3090s 4x but gained silicon lottery on same volts 30-45mhz yeah notgood. My chip is just normal, I think most 3090 can do it. As you can see in my screenshot, my card settled at 1875MHz @1.069V, with 460 Watt peaks: My card is draw 290w as you can see because I using kp 1000w bios. Nice undervolt you have. Brian from Tech Yes City on . I rolled up the sleeves and got down to tweaking, it seems pretty stable at 1800MHz with 800mV. When it arrives i will be particularly interested to find out how it performs next to the TUF version. Bonnouji Picture is from Optimum Techs video on YouTube. Have a dual purpose Gaming/VR/Mining rig, first time trying mining and optimizing a card. You have already briefly seen the values of the TUF 3090. After you run the stress test for about 30 minutes you can pick out the average voltage and the average GPU clock that is recorded. What if you instead could find a way to lower both the temperature and the power draw while still getting almost the same performance? I do, however, want to hit +99% in framerate stability. Started 9 minutes ago Also my 3090 is on water and is around 30c at 0.7v, if you are on air is not going to hit it. Started 19 minutes ago You just need to flash the bios. Tweaking the curve a bit brings it to 82-83C at a slower fan curve that I find comparable noise wise to the TUF's stock one. limit. You can already activate them! Yes for sure. Also, just for info: my 3090 was perfectly stable at 1800MHz@850mV but after started playing games with Ray Tracing like Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition and Control I learned that my 3090 wasn't stable at all. Running a card at a higher clock speed might mean a bit more performance but it also usually means higher temperature that needs to be removed = fans work harder = higher noise level and it also usually means the card needs more power. Some also say that the cooler also keeps the VRAM cooler (which causes the GPU to run a tad hotter), but I see the same overall 94C for the VRAM too. Started 8 minutes ago Started 19 minutes ago Does it matter where you start from, like how much you bring the slider down before selecting your mV/freq? the. Can a rtx 4070ti run whit 600W 80+bornze PSU. Monitors turn off while gaming, GPU-Fans get loud, PC keeps running. I can only hit 2190 at 1.17v in game I see other chip can do 2225 at stock voltage. Oh shit alright. My 3090 can't do that, and it's a shame, because Optimum Tech reports his 3090 draws 71 watt less at 1800MHz using 806mV and that'spretty good. StickyPC 831mV@1800MHz - Got me a score of 12,787, 64c average temp, 59.2 average fps. max many times up to 60, not using full gpu power anyhow happy finally. Control and quake ii rtx are best for testing this. By In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. I wonder why people like to talk crap GPU-Z is a lightweight utility designed to give you all information about your video card and GPU. i9-11900K @ 5.1ghz;RTX 3090 FE@ 2ghz;ROG Maximus XIIHero; 4266mhz G.Skill 16GBDDR4; Honestly, no, I haven't tried lower than 1791MHz because I don't want to lose to much performance. And will definitely see what I can achieve in terms of temps and power, dropping the curve further. I have no clue how mining affects graphics cards. Posted in Troubleshooting, Linus Media Group Posted in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory, By Maybe I should try to tomorrow and see how far my card will go on auto, with the powerlimit set to max - kinda curious what the temps will be, and were the clockspeed will settle. Now that you have the F/V Curve Editor. Well, 50 watts does kinda makes sense with only 0.7mV But in a game that maxes out the rtx cores like metro exodus I had to dial it all the way down to 1800mhz on 0.825v. Actually its quite good temps for this type of card. On the stock curve for my 3090FE the card sits at 1830/1860 and given enough time the fans hit 1600rpm which is over my starting to get annoying noise threshold. So I increased it to the 137% in Afterburner and that kept GPU clock on 1815MHz but total board power increased from 334 watts to 380-ish watts. JavaScript is disabled. But at idle, the volt is as low as 0.7mV, like your undervolt. Posted in Troubleshooting, Linus Media Group have you tried to undervolt to 800mV? My ROG STRIX 3090 peaks67c at 1815MHz@850mVafter many hours of game-time with a watt usage around 330-340 watts, with fans peaking at 2200RPM(stock fan curve). Both settings compete against the stock values of the Gigabyte Gaming OC with the newest driver. And yes, I think that when full on ray tracing is in effect the card will still draw what it 'needs' in terms of wattage, up to a certain point. When it came up, it immediately gave an advantage to Nvidia because the memory didn't have to suffer the full brunt unless the gpu needed it a hundred percent. Like I said (I'm not 100% on this) but anything over around 0.83 volts and the card will try and use the full 350 watts, on the FE anyway. Hopefully my notation is clear enough.
